Manufacturer and Concept of the Arturia KeyLab 61 MKIII Ultra Edition

With this model, Arturia presents a controller series tailored to professional needs. The Arturia KeyLab 61 MKIII Ultra Edition builds on the quality of the mk3 series and enhances it with a unique special-edition design. As a result, it appeals to producers who not only want precise control over software and hardware instruments but are also looking for a device that visually stands out from classic controller designs.

The KeyLab mk3 Ultra is clearly designed around a centralized workflow. The controller is intended to serve as the creative centerpiece, bridging the gap between keyboard playing, DAW control, software instruments, and hardware setups as seamlessly as possible. Especially for users who frequently switch between production, sound design, and performance, the Arturia KeyLab 61 MKIII Ultra Edition offers a well-thought-out user interface with direct access to key functions.

Technical Details and Ease of Use

Are you looking for an instrument that feels responsive when playing while also offering extensive control options? The Arturia KeyLab 61 MKIII Ultra Edition features a velocity-sensitive, aftertouch-capable semi-weighted keyboard. This makes the controller ideal for expressive playing and allows for a particularly direct realization of musical ideas.

Nine touch-sensitive 360-degree knobs and faders are available for practical control. The user interface is complemented by 12 velocity- and pressure-sensitive pads with 4 banks, as well as transport controls and DAW commands such as Save, Undo, and Redo. This combination supports a seamless workflow because key functions are accessible directly on the controller.

Display, Connections, and Creative Features

The full-color 3.5-inch display with 320x480 pixels provides visual feedback and makes it easier to navigate while working. Together with 8 context-sensitive buttons, it creates an intuitive control center that’s useful in both studio and live setups. The Arturia KeyLab 61 MKIII Ultra Edition also offers inputs for sustain, expression, and auxiliary pedals, MIDI DIN In/Out, and USB-C power delivery for modern setups.

Creative features such as Scale Mode, Arpeggiator, and Chord-Play expand the musical possibilities. Scale Mode automatically adapts played notes to a selected scale, while the arpeggiator, with its advanced randomization features, enables unique patterns. Chord Play allows for fixed chords or chord progressions with intelligent voice leading, supporting rapid idea generation and harmonic composition.
