Arturia MiniFreak 49 Synthesizer

Are you looking for a versatile synthesizer that combines expressive playing with extensive sound-shaping capabilities? The Arturia MiniFreak 49 Synthesizer is a six-voice hybrid synthesizer featuring two digital sound engines, analog filters, and a semi-weighted 49-key keyboard with velocity sensitivity and aftertouch. With over 30 oscillator modes, versatile modulation options, and built-in effects, it’s ideal for both classic synthesizer sounds and experimental sound design.

Arturia – Creative Synthesizer Technology

Arturia develops electronic musical instruments and software for music production. With the Arturia MiniFreak 49 synthesizer, the manufacturer combines digital sound generation with analog filter technology and a comprehensive set of features for creative performances.

The combination of the hardware synthesizer and the included MiniFreak V software allows sounds to be exchanged between the instrument and the DAW. This enables the MiniFreak 49 to be used both as a standalone unit and within a computer-based music production setup.

Six-voice hybrid sound generation with over 30 oscillator modes

At the heart of the Arturia MiniFreak 49 synthesizer are two digital sound engines combined with analog filters. The six-voice polyphony allows for the simultaneous playing of multiple notes, making it ideal for melodies, chords, and complex synthesizer sounds.

With over 30 oscillator modes and versatile modulation options, the synthesizer offers numerous approaches to custom sound design. From classic electronic sounds to unusual, experimental sounds, a wide range of musical ideas can be brought to life.

49 semi-weighted keys with velocity and aftertouch

The Arturia MiniFreak 49 synthesizer features a semi-weighted keyboard with 49 keys. The velocity-sensitive keys enable expressive playing, while aftertouch offers additional ways to influence the sound while playing.

This makes the instrument ideal for musicians who want to shape their synthesizer performances directly via the keyboard. The combination of playing feel and sound shaping supports both composition and spontaneous musical experimentation.

Sequencer, Arpeggiator, and Digital Effects

For developing rhythmic ideas and repeating sequences, the Arturia MiniFreak 49 synthesizer features a built-in 64-step sequencer and an arpeggiator. Both functions expand the creative possibilities for playing and producing.

In addition, three digital effect slots are available. These allow generated sounds to be further processed and customized. Together with the digital sound engines, analog filters, and modulation options, this creates a versatile instrument for a variety of electronic music genres.

MiniFreak V Software for DAW Integration

The package includes the MiniFreak V software. It enables the exchange of sounds between the hardware synthesizer and a DAW.

This allows sound ideas to be developed both on the instrument and within music production software. This connection between hardware and software makes the MiniFreak 49 particularly appealing to producers who want to combine both workflows.
