The ASM Leviasynth Desktop is a hybrid algorithmic synthesizer with a flexible architecture that seamlessly combines digital oscillators, algorithmic sound shapes and analog filters. Each of the 16 voices has an impressive 8 oscillators that interact with each other using algorithms. A total of 144 ready-made algorithms are available to you - each of them a small work of art of sound architecture. Furthermore, an additional algorithm can be created individually for each patch, which guarantees enormous creative freedom.

The Algorithm Morph function goes one step further: it allows infinitely variable crossfading between different oscillator configurations - a powerful tool for real-time sound design. Over 300 waveforms are available for each oscillator, supplemented by 7 oscillator modes such as phase modulation, frequency modulation, pulse width modulation, HTE sync and several phase distortions.

For further sound shaping, the Leviasynth offers an analog 4-pole low-pass filter with saturation and self-oscillation as well as a digital multimode filter with a total of 18 different types - including classic models such as MS20 filters, 3-line models and even vocal formant filters. The result: an almost limitless range of filter characteristics.

When it comes to modulation, there is hardly a wish left unfulfilled. In addition to five freely assignable LFOs per voice (with different waveforms, tempo synchronization and step functions), the Leviasynth offers a separate volume envelope for each oscillator. In addition, there are five further envelopes that can be modulated with up to four trigger sources. All these modulators can be flexibly combined with each other via the 32-fold modulation matrix - a paradise for sound designers.

Operation is via a multicolored touchscreen that enables fast navigation and visual feedback. This is supported by a tactile pad interface with 16 Polytouch® pads that enable polyphonic aftertouch and velocity-sensitive playing - perfect for expressive performances. In addition, the Leviasynth is fully MPE-compatible and thus offers integration with modern, multi-dimensional controllers.

A three-track sequencer is available for composition and performance, which can record both notes and macro automations. The arpeggiator has been enhanced with a so-called entropy function, which allows you to vary note progressions in real time in a random yet musically meaningful way.

The synthesizer has a single and a multi mode. In single mode, all 16 voices are available for a single patch - ideal for complex, multi-layered sounds. In multi mode, the voices are divided into two parts with 8 voices each, making it easy to create layers and keyboard splits.

With a total of 1024 patch memory locations in single mode and 640 locations in multi mode, the Leviasynth offers more than enough space for your own creations - in addition to the 512 factory single patches and 256 multi patches created by renowned sound designers. Patch management and firmware updates are conveniently carried out via the free ASM Patch Manager for Mac and PC.
