The handheld OC707 cardioid microphone brings professional sound from the studio to the stage. The OC707 is a rugged vocal microphone with a die-cast body and true condenser technology. It gives your voice great volume and allows all facets of your voice to come through clearly in the mix without being overemphasized. The microphone is optimally adapted to the human voice. The proximity effect, for example, has been optimized so that you can use it to your advantage in any performance. The small-diaphragm capsule OCC7, developed and built in Vienna, is the heart of the microphone. Austrian Audio's special Open Acoustic technology allows sound to enter the capsule almost freely from all sides. The minimization of sound-reflecting surfaces in the vicinity of the capsule ensure the most resonance-free reproduction possible.

The combination of low self-noise (19 dB SPL) and high SPL (150 dB SPL) result in an impressive dynamic range.The OC707 is designed to maximally reduce bumps, handling noise and feedback. The switchable 2nd order high-pass filter further enhances these characteristics and can be used to shape the sound.Austrian Audio has succeeded with the OC707 in creating a microphone that possesses all the important characteristics of a studio microphone, yet can withstand the rigors of everyday stage performance.
