With the Baroni JEVAL, the Italian company Foxgear presents another two-channel guitar amplifier in pedal format, which is aimed specifically at guitarists from the metal genre. The new Baroni JEVAL is a true 150 W rms guitar hybrid amplifier that features a two-channel, ECC82 tube preamp section that significantly enriches the sound, dynamics and harmonic content and provides the tonal warmth and powerful bass response typical of true all-tube amplifiers.

Foxgear engineers were able to fully emulate the behavior of a high-gain tube preamp by configuring a tube and a series of FETs to replicate up to six stages of gain to achieve the JEVAL's impressive performance. The clean CALM channel was designed to recreate the warmth and brilliance of the popular vintage amps of the "blackface" era. The RAGE channel, modeled after the award-winning GURUS NINJA preamp pedal, delivers the authentic sound of the most prominent high-gain amps.

Both channels have separate 3-band EQs as well as gain and volume controls. A master volume and master presence each complete the control options. A line out with a switchable analog speaker simulation is available for D.I. pickup - a ground lift ensures hum-free operation. An effects loop and a socket for an external footswitch are also on board.

Thanks to its clever design, the JEVAL is both a desktop and a cab-top amplifier and also cuts a fine figure on the desk in a home studio. The wooden side panels are easily removable and allow the JEVAL to be used on a pedalboard as a pedal, with a classic footswitch for channel switching on the high-quality designed top panel.
