Behringer SD8 Product Details
Digital stage box with 8 remote-controllable MIDAS microphone preamps, 8 outputs, AES50 network and ULTRANET personal monitoring ports.
The BEHRINGER SD8 Stagebox can be used with all mixing consoles of the X32 family. The SD8 has 8 remote-controllable MIDAS preamplifiers, 8 freely addressable analog outputs, two AES50 network ports (KLARK TEKNIK SuperMac protocol) and two ULTRANET ports for direct connection of P16-M mixers (without external power supply) or TURBOSOUND iQ speakers.
The SD8 can be combined with all BEHRINGER Stagebox models (SD8, SD16, S16, S32). A maximum number of three stageboxes can be configured in each constellation. For example, three SD8 models can be combined for a maximum number of 24 inputs and 24 outputs. Due to their compact dimensions and robust design, SD8/SD16 can also be positioned at different points on stage, e. g. 1x SD16 directly next to the drum podium, 1x SD8 next to guitarist/bassist, 1x SD8 next to background choir,...
Phantom power is present on the integrated ULTRANET ports, so that P16-M Personal Mixers can be connected directly and without additional power supply.
Two of the eight inputs are high impedance inputs and can be used for direct connection of instruments without DI-box (e. g. bass guitar). For maximum flexibility, all eight inputs of the SD8 are designed as XLR/TRS combo sockets.
The SD series is a clever alternative to the previous Behringer S16 Stagebox.
