The Electro Harmonix Operation Overlord Allied Overdrive effects unit has a sturdy metal housing and a military green surface with an image of soldiers. A highlight is the analog circuit, which is based on three JFET transistors and the switchable boost, which gives the sound more power and saturation. The device has an active 3-band tone control to adjust the sound. The effect is not only suitable for electric guitars and basses, but also for keyboards and synthesizers.
