Furman PS-8 R E III

The Furman PS-8R E III is a new power conditioner and sequencer with a maximum load of 10 A. An integrated switch-on delay with 3 time offsets for 2 outputs each, which is activated by a central switch on the front, also makes this conditioner a sequencer. Alternatively, the sequencer can also be controlled remotely by push-button or switching contact. In this case, the switch-off is of course in reverse order.

The PS-8R E III offers a total of 8 x rear and 1 x front IEC connections, each with 230 V. The revolutionary SMP (Series Mode Protection) circuit, the exclusive linear filter technology (LiFT- LinearFilteringTechnology), which provides ground-free noise attenuation (10 dB @ 10 kHz, 40 db @ 100 kHz, 100 dB @ 10 MHz), is of course also a must for this Furman device.

The multi-stage SMP overload protection saves costly downtime and service. While conventional overload protection circuits sacrifice themselves when exposed to multiple transient voltage peaks, the Furman SMP circuit operates maintenance-free. The transients are detected and effectively dissipated.

Furman's reliable EVS circuit provides protection against continuous overvoltage conditions. For this purpose, the input current is monitored and, if an unsafe condition is detected, a relay is triggered which switches off the input current until the overvoltage condition is rectified. The relay then switches back on automatically.

An additional integrated BNC connection on the back of the device can be used for an optional gooseneck lamp (12 V, 0.5 A). This can then be switched from the front if required. The complete device is housed in a 19" housing with just one height unit and requires a maximum installation depth of 27 cm.

New features of the Series III model:

• All settings and configurations are now also available on the rear of the device
• The device no longer needs to be opened to configure or set the internal jumpers for remote-controlled switching on and off
• The housing depth has been reduced to approx. 16 cm
• The on/off switch is no longer illuminated - as on the Series II model - giving the device a more discreet appearance
