The new Electromatic Classic Hollow Body guitars inspire with the unmistakable Gretsch sound and style of the 50s and 60s. Made with Gretsch's essential hollow body sound, style and playability, these uncompromising guitars are Gretsch's next evolutionary step.

The G5422TG Electromatic Classic Hollow Body Double-Cut with Bigsby and Gold hardware features a laminated maple body with vintage-inspired sides and refined arching, plus all-new trestle bracing to reduce unwanted feedback. Thanks to increased stiffness and better contact between the top and back of the body, the new trestle block design also provides a faster attack with more focus, snap and longer sustain. Combined with the all-new FT-5E Filter Tron pickups, this hollow-build's voice explodes with huge, full-bodied punch, classic chime and improved presence, clarity and tone definition. The all-new Classic "C"-shaped maple neck offers a more comfortable feel for improved playability and performance, and features a 12" radius laurel fingerboard.

In addition to the lively and resonant tone, the G5422TG features a versatile, improved control layout with master volume with treble bleed switching, master tone, individual pickup volume controls and a three-position pickup toggle switch, oversized bound F-holes, multi-ply body binding, a smaller bound G6120 headstock from the late '50s, standard open-back vintage-style tuners, Graph Tech NuBone nut, mother-of-pearl hump-block inlays, secured Adjusto-Matic™ bridge, and a Bigsby B60 vibrato tailpiece.
