With the RGR5130R-KM, Ibanez presents another masterpiece from the renowned Prestige series - an instrument that is uncompromisingly aimed at guitarists who place the highest demands on sound, precision and playing feel. The RG series has been an integral part of the modern metal and rock world for over 30 years and has established itself as an unmistakable high-performance platform. Whether for virtuoso leads, powerful riffs or complex arrangements - the RG stands for speed, assertiveness and technical perfection like no other.

At the heart of the construction is the five-piece glued Super Wizard HP neck made of maple and wenge - extremely flat, stable and, with a thickness of just 17 mm at the first fret, perfectly suited for shredding, tapping and technical playing styles. This is complemented by a bound rosewood fingerboard with Luminlay side dots, which enable precise orientation even in minimal stage lighting. The jumbo stainless steel frets are optimally rounded thanks to the Prestige Fret Edge Treatment and offer a smooth playing feel with precise intonation across the entire fingerboard.

Sound design for the modern stage

The unmistakable sound is provided by two Fishman® Fluence™ Modern Ceramic humbuckers. These pickups deliver aggressive, saturated high-gain sounds with exceptional clarity and definition - ideal for modern metal and rock styles. Thanks to the integrated voicing switch, the pickups can be switched between two sound characteristics: From a punchy, active high-output sound to a more dynamic, open clean tone with a transparent response. This significantly expands the sound spectrum - without external effect units or additional pickups.

The basswood body provides the perfect basis for a balanced basic sound with a neutral tone - powerful in the mids, defined in the highs and controlled in the bass. The combination with the high-quality neck and pickups creates an enormously versatile instrument that can shine in a wide variety of musical genres.

Hardware & control - for stage and studio

The hardware is uncompromisingly designed for performance: The Lo-Pro Edge tremolo impresses with its flat profile, recessed fine tuners and outstanding tuning stability - ideal for expressive playing techniques such as dive bombs or vibrato. The system is complemented by Gotoh® MG-T locking tuners, which enable fast tuning and effortless string changes. The combination of locking studs and the stable bridge ensures an absolutely reliable setup, even under live conditions.

The scope of delivery includes a custom-fit Ibanez hardshell case, which stores the guitar safely and provides optimum protection during transportation. With the RGR5130R-KM, Ibanez offers an all-round well thought-out instrument that is equally impressive in terms of sound and ergonomics.
