The Jackson Pro Series Signature Lee Malia LM-87 electric guitar was developed in close collaboration with Bring Me The Horizon guitarist Lee Malia. Known for his aggressive playing style and complex solos, Malia needed an instrument that perfectly reflected his musical versatility. The LM-87 combines classic design elements with modern features and offers a powerful, flexible sound for metal, alternative and hard rock.

The LM-87 stands out clearly from other models with its distinctive surfcaster body and open pore black finish. The okoume body provides a warm, resonant tone base, while the natural grain remains visible thanks to the thin semi-gloss finish. Visual highlights include the 3-ply black pickguard and the chrome-plated hardware, which give the instrument an elegant vintage aesthetic.

The playing feel of the Jackson LM-87 is optimized for demanding guitarists. The 3-piece Nyatoh neck with D-profile fits comfortably in the hand and allows fast licks and complex chord progressions. The bound amaranth fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets offers a perfect combination of comfort and precision. Thanks to the compound radius (12"-16"), the fingerboard is ideal for fast shredding and expressive solos.

The Jackson LM-87 signature pickups are specially tuned to Lee Malia's sound. The combination of a Jackson LM-87 humbucker in the bridge position and a Jackson LM-87 P90 pickup on the neck provides exceptional tonal flexibility. The humbucker delivers aggressive, punchy sounds for metal and hard rock, while the P90 offers warm, dynamic cleans and vintage crunches. With the push/pull coil split on the volume control, the humbucker can be switched to single-coil operation, which opens up even more tonal possibilities.

The LM-87 was developed for maximum tuning stability and precision. The Jackson die-cast locking tuners keep the tuning stable even during intensive use. The Jackson TOM-style bridge with fixed tailpiece and fine tuners offers excellent control over intonation and provides a solid base for deep tunings and powerful picking. Thanks to the high-quality chrome-plated hardware, the look of the guitar will last a long time.

Sophisticated electronics for perfect control

The guitar is equipped with a 3-way toggle switch that allows the following pickup combinations:

• Position 3: neck P90

In addition, a master volume control with coil split function and a master tone control are available for intuitive sound shaping.
