With a selectable transmitting power of up to 30 mW, the vocal sets of the U500® series achieve a range of over 100 meters in free field. The U508 has a radio frequency band in the range of 823 - 832 MHz and 863 - 865 MHz, allowing six systems to be used simultaneously. The True Diversity UHF wireless systems are equipped with an automatic search function that finds the best free frequency and with the convenient one-touch infrared transmitter/receiver synchronization for easy setup.

High-contrast OLED displays provide an optimal functional overview with displays of group, channel, radio frequency, signal strength and battery status. battery status, and individual user names can be entered. In addition to the squelch function, the transmitter's inaudible pilot tone transmitter ensures interference-free operation. It protects against interference and mutes the receiver if a radio signal is present without this tone is present.
