The LCT 1040 is like a gorgeous color palette that lets you effortlessly find any mix you can imagine for your sound image. Record with premium sound from high-end components and a 1-inch true condenser capsule, create the perfect sound for different voices and instruments with 4 pure analog tube characteristics and crystal clear FET circuitry, and make all your adjustments from your sweet spot with the remote control.
During the development process of the LCT 1040, many world-renowned engineers and producers were visited in their fantastic studios to test various prototypes under real-world conditions. Plus, the additional feedback from the global audio community, which ranged from friendly appreciation to brutal honesty, was exactly what was needed to perfect this exciting microphone.
Tweak your sound to perfection. You can mix in the FET circuit via the circuit control if you need more punch or precision for your voice or instrument. Place the LCT 1040 in the recording room. Disconnect the remote control from the power supply and connect it via your standard 3-pin XLR cable. Now you can make all the adjustments from your sweet spot using the remote control, ensuring a smooth session. Adjust directivity with the LCT 1040's stepless polar pattern control to get exactly what you're looking for. You can also freely choose the front of the microphone depending on the recording situation. Default sets the tube window as the front, while Reverse sets the logo as the front. To prepare you for all possible scenarios, the LCT 1040 has two XLR outputs with Neutrik connectors. The Mix output delivers ratio set with the Circuit knob, a combination of tube and FET circuitry, while the FET output delivers 100% pure FET independent of the Circuit knob.
