Technical details of the Midiplus Routist R4 audio interface

At the heart of the Routist R4 is a high-resolution 24-bit / 192 kHz audio engine that captures even the finest sound details. Two XLR/TRS combo inputs allow flexible connection of microphones, instruments or line level signals. Two separate 48V phantom power switches are available for the use of condenser microphones.

For further control, the interface offers two gain controls for the inputs, two headphone volume controls and a separate monitor level button for controlling the output level. There is also a Direct Monitoring switch for latency-free monitoring during recording and two Hi-Z switches for guitar or bass signals.

With two headphone outputs, a monitor out and a 1/8" phone jack, the R4 offers versatile monitoring options - ideal for duo recording or simultaneous monitoring and streaming. Two USB-C ports (incl. OTG port) enable connection to PC, Mac or mobile devices. Power is supplied either via USB or DC input.

The integrated LCD display provides clear visual feedback on settings, levels and connection status. The dimensions of 152 x 113 x 41 mm make the device compact enough for mobile use without compromising operation.
