MXR M 222 Talk Box

The MXR M 222 Talk Box is a classic guitar effect made famous in the 70s and 80s by bands like Bon Jovi, Pink Floyd and Jeff Beck. In this The guitar or keyboard signal is amplified in the talk box and fed into the rubber hose via a loudspeaker. This, in turn, allows the vibrating column of air to be fed into the mouth, where the where the air stream can be used to vocalize sounds, wah sounds or speech. The dry, unamplified input signal is then sent via the output of the talk box to the guitar amplifier and can be thus be mixed with the sound picked up by a microphone from the rubber tube.
