Neo Instruments – Sound Innovation from Germany

Neo Instruments stands for German engineering and a deep understanding of musicality and sound aesthetics. In recent years, the company has earned an excellent reputation for its high-quality effects units—particularly in the field of rotary speaker simulation. Behind Neo Instruments lies the vision of translating legendary sounds into formats suitable for everyday use—uncompromising in sound, compact in design, and user-friendly in operation.

With the Micro Vent 16, Neo Instruments once again demonstrates just how detailed and musical a digital emulation can be. Every nuance of the original Vibratone has been meticulously analyzed and authentically recreated—a tribute to the warm, three-dimensional tone of classic Leslie systems.

Technical Details – Precision and Flexibility in a Miniature Enclosure

At the heart of the Neo Instruments Micro Vent 16 is sophisticated digital signal processing that precisely replicates the sound characteristics of a real Vibratone Guitar Leslie. Particularly noteworthy is the variable microphone distance control, which allows you to adjust the distance between the virtual microphone position and the rotor. This lets you customize the effect from subtle modulations to dramatic spatial depth.

The pedal offers two speed modes: Speed 1 (Continuous) is ideal for smooth, even sound movements, while Speed 2—with its Slow / Stop / Fast modes—allows for greater expression and variation, just like a classic Leslie cabinet. The built-in switch allows you to conveniently switch between modes while playing, which enhances the performance experience.

Another highlight is the True Bypass, which allows the signal to pass through completely unaltered when deactivated. This is an indispensable feature, especially for purists and guitarists with complex signal paths, as it prevents sound loss.

The connectors are practical 6.3 mm jack sockets, allowing for easy integration into any standard guitar or effects setup. With its compact dimensions of 113 x 65 x 47 mm, the Micro Vent 16 fits easily even on tight pedalboards. Power is supplied via a 9-volt DC power supply (not included), allowing the pedal to be operated with standard power supplies.
