Description

Novation Bass Station II Analoger Synthesizer Product Details

The bass for the 21st century

The original Bass Station was born in 1993, was Novations first synthesizer and became quickly a cult classic. Since then musicians and producers asked for a remake again and again. Now there is the Bass Station II, which has the genes of the original, but has also a modernized synth engine that is even nicer, more powerful and has more drive.

Bass Station II is an analog mono synthesizer that is equipped with two filters, three oscillators, patch scoring and a complete analog filter section. Furthermore it offers a step sequencer, arpeggiator, large keyboard and a powerful modulation section and therefore a greater sound spectrum.

Behind the new design one can find the best elements of the original bass station and furthermore modernized modulation effects, filters and more. The hardware was created in modules, each with own control dials, switches, faders and keys for the most important parameter. Besides 64 created sounds the bass station offers 64 further scoring places for own creations.

The keyboard with 25 keys is velocity sensitive and offers a remarkable after-touch. Thanks to the individual suspension every key response very light and arrange an immediate sound production. The Bass Station II works as class-compliant MIDI device, has a MIDI in- and output as 5-pole DIN port and can be used also as MIDI-USB computer interface for other MIDI devices. Of course it’s possible to edit signals of extern instruments through the analog filter and effects of the Bass Station, too.
