Description

Oberheim TEO-5 Analoger Synthesizer Product Details

The TEO 5 by old master Tom Oberheim is a modern polyphonic analog synthesizer that combines the essential sound power of his legendary poly classics with contemporary technology. Equipped with five voices, a velocity-sensitive 44-key keyboard from Fatar and channel aftertouch, the TEO 5 offers an authentic playing experience. Its design, inspired by the Sequential Take 5, shines in the classic black and blue pinstripe look and revives the nostalgic charm of the 80s. The vintage knob allows you to shift the accurate modern circuitry towards the imprecise but characterful sounds of old synthesizers.

The synthesizer uses two analog oscillators, which are characterized by waveforms such as triangle, sawtooth and square with PWM. The sound shaping is complemented by a sub-oscillator and a noise generator in the mixer. The famous SEM filter, also known as the 12dB State Variable Filter, enables stepless fading of lowpass, notch and highpass as well as bandpass filtering. The flexibility of the filter and sound effects is complemented by modulation options such as hardsync, cross-modulation and a sub-oscillator, which opens up a wide range of sound textures.

Two LFOs with different effective ranges, two ADSR envelopes and an extensive modulation matrix ensure lively and dynamic sounds. The TEO 5 is also equipped with two digital effect blocks, including delay and reverb effects, as well as an analog distortion unit for powerful sound changes. Playing aids such as an editable arpeggiator, a polyphonic step sequencer with 64 steps and extensive memory options offer creative freedom and allow the synthesizer to be optimally adapted to individual requirements.
