The PreSonus StudioLive 32SC is part of the third generation of StudioLive mixers and impresses with a complete 32-channel mixing architecture, although it is outwardly conceived as a 16-fader design. The secret lies in the layer function, which allows multiple mix levels to be accessed at the touch of a button. The mixer has a total of 17 touch-sensitive motorized faders - one of which is assigned to the master channel.

At the heart of the console are 16 XMAX pre amps - high-quality Class A preamps renowned for their clarity, dynamics and noise-free amplification. These preamps deliver a transparent signal that is ideal for vocals, instruments and speech. In addition, 26 busses are available, including 16 FleXMixes, which can be flexibly configured as aux paths, subgroups or matrix mixes - ideal for monitoring, effects paths or complex live setups.

A special highlight is the integrated FLEX FX multi-effects processor with four independent effects slots. Reverbs, delays, modulation effects and other studio-quality effects can be loaded and individually assigned here. This allows creative sound processing to be carried out directly on the console - without any external effects devices.

The StudioLive 32SC offers several options for recording: On the one hand, it functions as a 64x64 USB interface for connection to a DAW - ideal for multitrack recording in the studio or for live recordings. On the other hand, up to 34 tracks can be recorded directly to an SD card. This makes it possible to create a high-quality multitrack recording without a computer, perfect for live recordings or quick demo recordings.

Thanks to AVB network capability, the mixer can also be integrated into larger audio networks, making it a flexible component in complex setups. The storage of mix scenes including effect and routing settings allows quick access to different setups even under live conditions - including virtual sound checks with previously recorded tracks.

Other features include an integrated 31-band graphic EQ, extensive DAW control functions and an intuitive user interface with touchscreen. Despite its extensive possibilities, the housing remains compact - with dimensions of 44.60 x 58.30 x 16.50 cm, the StudioLive 32SC can be easily transported and integrated into a rack or FOH table.
