NEW Rocktron Banshee 2 Talkbox Effektgerät für Gitarre & Keyboard

Rocktron Banshee 2 Talkbox Effects Unit for Guitar & Keyboard

Are you looking for a talkbox that offers more possibilities than a traditional setup while still being intuitive to use? The Rocktron Banshee 2 Talkbox Effects Unit for Guitar & Keyboard was designed for musicians who want to use the talkbox effect flexibly without sacrificing the parallel guitar signal to the amplifier.

With the Banshee 2, the guitar signal can be routed to the amplifier while the talkbox effect is active. This allows the guitar signal to run through the amplifier, while the talkbox effect is output via a microphone and the sound system. It is precisely this parallel operation that enables a versatile workflow and makes the Rocktron Banshee 2 talkbox effects unit for guitar and keyboard a talkbox with advanced routing capabilities.

Talkbox with Parallel Signal Routing

A key feature of the Rocktron Banshee 2 Talkbox effect unit for guitar & keyboard is the ability to use the talkbox effect and the guitar signal simultaneously. The To Amp switch activates or mutes the guitar’s dry signal to the amplifier. This allows you to decide whether the pure guitar signal is routed to the amplifier or not.

This feature is particularly important when the talkbox effect is to be used not in isolation but in combination with the guitar signal. The pedal thus enables a signal routing configuration in which the amplifier remains part of the setup, while the talkbox sound is used separately via a microphone and sound system. The status LEDs help you keep track of the current operating status.

The Banshee 2 is designed as a talkbox/preamp. The internal preamp, amplifier, and horn driver ensure intuitive operation and easy setup. This eliminates the need for a complicated external amplifier setup for the talkbox effect. The Rocktron Banshee 2 talkbox effects unit for guitar and keyboard already includes all the essential components needed for this.

Preamp Section and Tone Control

The preamp section of the Banshee Talkbox features controls for gain, tone, and volume. The sound can be adjusted directly on the unit using the gain, tone, and output controls. According to the product description, it can produce a wide range of clean and distorted sounds with plenty of saturation.

Thus, the Rocktron Banshee 2 Talkbox effect unit for guitar and keyboard not only provides the actual talkbox effect but also allows for independent tone shaping via the integrated preamp section. The bypass footswitch allows you to turn the effect on and off, while true bypass ensures a clean signal path when the effect is off.

Integrated Effects Loop

The built-in effects loop adds another dimension. Using the EFX Loop switch, the FX Loop can be routed either to the guitar signal or to the talkbox effect. This allows additional effects to be added to either the talkbox signal or the guitar signal.

This feature opens up additional possibilities for sound design. The built-in FX loop consists of 6.3 mm mono jack FX Loop Send and Return connectors. Together with the EFX Loop Talkbox / Amp switch, the routing can be precisely adjusted to the desired application.

Connections, Housing, and Power Supply

The Rocktron Banshee 2 Talkbox effects unit for guitar and keyboard features 6.3 mm mono jack inputs and outputs, as well as a 6.3 mm mono jack external speaker output with a minimum load of 8 ohms. An additional speaker output, combined with the internal amplifier, makes the Banshee a perfect setup for practicing.

The metal housing ensures a sturdy exterior. The dimensions are 216 x 127 x 76 mm, and it weighs approximately 2.3 kg. This clearly positions the unit as a standalone effects unit with an integrated design.

Power is supplied via the included 9V AC power adapter with a 2.5 mm x 5.5 mm barrel plug. Battery operation is not supported. The package also includes a 180 cm vinyl tube and Velcro straps. This means the Rocktron Banshee 2 talkbox effects unit for guitar and keyboard comes with all the essential components needed for immediate use.

Purchase Recommendation

The Rocktron Banshee 2 talkbox effect unit for guitar and keyboard is a suitable choice for musicians looking for a talkbox with an expanded range of features. The ability to use the talkbox effect and the guitar signal in parallel makes this model particularly interesting. The guitar signal can be routed to the amplifier, while the talkbox effect is simultaneously output through a microphone and sound system.

The integrated FX loop is also a major selling point when additional effects need to be incorporated into either the talkbox signal or the guitar signal. Combined with the preamp section, the gain, tone, and output controls, true bypass, status LEDs, and the metal housing, this results in a highly versatile effects unit.

If you’re looking for a talkbox that features an internal preamp, amplifier, and horn driver and impresses with its flexible routing options, the Rocktron Banshee 2 talkbox effects unit for guitar and keyboard is an excellent choice. The included 9V AC power supply, the 180 cm vinyl hose, and the Velcro strap round out the package.
