Frequently asked questions
Question: | How can I connect the microphone to my computer? |
Answer: | In order to connect the Rode NT1-A to a computer, an external audio interface with XLR connector and 48 V phantom power is usually required, as most onboard sound cards offer neither. |
Question: | Is this microphone also suitable for stage use? |
Answer: | The Rode NT1-A is an all-round microphone and is suitable for recording many different sound sources. For recording a singer on louder stages, however, microphones with a smaller diaphragm and narrower directivity are more suitable, as these transmit less ambient noise (e.g. other instruments). |
Question: | Is the microphone suitable for streaming? |
Answer: | Yes, connected to an audio interface, this microphone is ideal for voice recording of any kind and for any purpose. |
