The Rode VXLR Pro adapter (3.5mm stereo jack female to XLR 3-pin male) has an integrated voltage converter from phantom power (12-48 V) to plug-in power (4 V) and a transformer that provides a balanced output signal. This means that the products in the Rode VideoMic series can also be used with long microphone cables without interference.
