Roland VC-1-DMX Video Lighting Converter Product Details

Dynamic Light Shows - Without Operator

Dynamic lighting takes the energy and excitement of interactive events to a new level - from music concerts and clubs to house parties and karaoke bars. With the VC-1-DMX Video Lighting Converter, all your events can now benefit from the impact of a professional light show.

The VC-1-DMX generates automatic control commands for your DMX lighting setup based on incoming video and audio sources and does not require a separate lighting operator. Depending on the incoming video, the color and brightness will change, while spotlights and mirror balls act in sync with the tempo of the music. Those who want to dive deeper into the possibilities of the VC-1-DMX can resort to external MIDI operation and control the converter via hardware control surfaces, electronic musical instruments and computer production software.

Synchronized lighting made easy

With the VC-1-DMX, it's easy to synchronize video, sound, and lighting to create perfectly coordinated presentations that you're used to seeing at large events with dedicated lighting operators. Connect your sources to the VC-1-DMX's A/V inputs and Roland's groundbreaking technology does the rest. Incoming signals are analyzed at lightning speed and sent to your DMX equipment via the 3-pin and 5-pin DMX outputs.

Lights respond to incoming signals via HDMI and analog audio inputs

The VC-1-DMX processes digital video and audio signals via HDMI and analog audio signals via stereo RCA inputs. The powerful processors analyze the content and derive color, brightness and other information from the video signal, as well as clock, tempo, volume and more from the audio signal.

With MIDI, even more is possible

With built-in MIDI-to-DMX conversion, the VC-1-DMX lets you dive even deeper into controlling your system. Connect a hardware MIDI controller and use MIDI CC messages to control a variety of DMX parameters, including global dimming, tilt, pan, and more. In addition, the VC-1-DMX also supports USB MIDI to control your DMX setup via lighting or music production software on your computer, if needed.

Your custom rig

Use the standalone editor software for Mac or Windows to quickly and easily configure the VC-1-DMX for your DMX lighting hardware. Customize the 512 DMX channel assignments to perfectly match your fixtures and more to their control needs.
