Steinberg UR 824 Audio Interface Product Details
On the front panel, the UR824 has two Neutrik Combo XLR/jack jacks that can be used as balanced microphone/line inputs. Both inputs are equipped with switchable 48 Volt phantom power, Hi-Z switch for high-impedance instruments and pad switch for signal attenuation. Additionally there are 8 gain controls with peak display and pad switches for the analog inputs. On the other side, there is a knob for the Output Level, which can be used to conveniently control the levels of the eight line outputs. Which output signal is controlled with the knob can be set in the software. In addition, two headphone connectors with separate volume controls are available.
On the back of the unit there are six Neutrik combo inputs (XLR/jack) and eight balanced analog jack inputs as well as two pairs of optical ADAT I/Os. Also on board are two BNC connectors for word clock in and out. The UR824 has been specially developed for demanding recording and mixing setups and can be expanded with 24 additional input and output channels via ADAT.
