TritonAudio FetHead Filter

The TritonAudio FetHead Filter is a version of the FetHead with a 6 dB / octave high-pass filter with a cut-off frequency of 220 Hz. The amplifier is ideal for microphones that exhibit excessive proximity effect or low frequency response. The filter components are not located directly in the signal path, but are applied to the components that adjust the gain of the FetHead Filters amplifier, making it frequency-dependent and preserving the sound character of the microphone. Some ribbon microphones do not tolerate phantom power. FetHead's circuitry requires 48 V phantom power but does not pass it on to the microphone, protecting ribbon microphones when used with the FetHead.
