NEW U-Turn Cajon 48 Esche & Birke Front Black

U-Turn Cajon 48 Ash & Birch Front Black

Are you looking for a cajon with a modern black front, direct response, and a clearly defined snare sound? The U-Turn Cajon 48 Ash & Birch Front Black is designed for percussionists seeking a compact instrument with a balanced tone, powerful bass, and brilliant highs.

With its black ash front and sturdy birch body, this cajon combines a modern look with a well-thought-out acoustic design. Its compact construction makes it particularly well-suited for music lessons, rehearsal rooms, the stage, the studio, and acoustic sessions. At the same time, the TRE01 snare system with guitar strings ensures a responsive and controlled snare action.

Black Ash Front and Birch Body

The U-Turn Cajon 48 Ash & Birch Front Black features a playing surface made of high-quality ash wood. The black front looks modern, simple, and striking. As a result, the cajon fits visually into a variety of musical settings, from the classroom to the stage.

Sonically, the ash striking surface ensures a direct response and a balanced sound with clear highs and powerful accents. The body is made of Betula, or birch. Combined with the multi-layered birch body, this produces a full, controlled sound with a solid bass foundation and clean snare separation.

TRE01 Snare System with Guitar Strings

A special feature of the U-Turn Cajon 48 Ash & Birch Front Black is the TRE01 snare system, which uses guitar strings. This system delivers focused snare resonance with sensitive response and brilliant highs.

Even light strikes are rendered cleanly, making the cajon well-suited for dynamic playing and fast rhythms. It can be used for both subtle acoustic accompaniments and rhythmically demanding grooves. This makes it versatile for pop, rock, Latin, folk, and singer-songwriter arrangements.

Construction and Playing Feel

The U-Turn Cajon 48 Ash & Birch Front Black has compact dimensions of 480 x 296 x 292 mm. The material thicknesses are specified as 2.8 mm for the front panel, 12 mm for the side panel, and 7 mm for the back panel. This construction supports efficient vibration transmission and contributes to a clear, natural sound.

The reinforced resonant body enhances the focused snare response and complements the cajon’s tonal characteristics. The result is an instrument suitable for beginners as well as ambitious and experienced percussionists.
