The YDP-145 features a piano sound sampled from Yamaha's high-end CFX concert grand piano - a renowned piano that combines brilliant highs and powerful, resonant bass in a superbly expressive sound. The YDP-145 has the same individual sound - from low to high keys - full of brilliance and rich in colorful harmonic content. It gives you exceptional expressiveness and nuance that is authentic in your daily practice as well as in your most emotional performances.

Authentic acoustic playability and full control with the half-pedal unit.

With an 88-key piano action, the Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keyboard mimics the touch of an acoustic piano, from a naturally heavy feel on the lower keys to a lighter touch in the upper octaves. The GHS keyboard provides the functionality and feel of a grand piano style, allowing for fast repetition and authentic expressive control. In addition, there is a half-position damper function that authentically replicates the damper action of a grand piano, providing a wide range of expressive variations.

Harmonic resonance like that of a grand piano - Virtual Resonance Modelling Lite (VRM LITE)

One of the fascinations of the grand piano is the distinctive resonance created by the vibration of the entire instrument. The YDP-145 reproduces this powerful resonance effect through a breakthrough technology called Virtual Resonance Modeling Lite (VRM Lite). VRM Lite creates a varied sound by simulating the complex resonances that occur when the vibrations of the strings are transmitted to the soundboard and other strings. This occurs according to the timing and intensity of playing on the keyboard and pedals.

Pithy and powerful sound produced by "Tone Escapement Contruction".

The YDP-145 uses newly developed "Tone Escapement" technology on the rear panel, which brings the sound from inside the piano to the outside in addition to the speakers. In this way, you experience the natural sound radiation and three-dimensional resonance just like an acoustic piano.

A variety of built-in songs and intuitive operation with the Smart Pianist app.

In addition to authentic grand piano sounds, the YDP-145 also features various other instruments with a total of 10 sounds - including electric piano, organ, vibraphone and strings. The YDP-145 also has 353 built-in songs, including 50 famous classical ones, and 303 comprehensive exercises from famous methods such as those of Beyer, Burgmüller, Czerny and Hanon. The instrument is also compatible with Yamaha's free Smart Pianist app - simply download it on your smart device and connect it to the instrument. With the Smart Pianist app, you can easily operate the instrument's various voice functions, allowing you to access the note display of both internal and external songs. It also has a comprehensive Piano Room function that allows you to adjust the sound quality and resonance settings for the piano sound to suit your needs.
