The ARA is a condenser microphone that connects easily via USB and offers high-resolution professional-quality recordings of up to 24-bit and 96 kHz. The ingenious arrangement of the two microphone capsules allows for various applications. The "front" (cardioid) polar pattern is suitable when recording a speaker or singer alone. With the directional pattern "Front + Back" (omnidirectional), the AKG ARA records several voices at the same time or musicians spread around the room. On computers, the microphone is ready to use out of the box, as it works with current operating systems without any additional drivers. For connection to Android devices, only an OTG adapter is needed, or for iOS devices, the Camera Kit. The AKG ARA then works like an external sound card on the computer or smartphone. You can also connect headphones to the microphone to listen to your own voice or playbacks.

The microphone can be easily used with the included sturdy stand or standard microphone stands. An LED indicates when the mute function is activated. Thanks to simple operation, even inexperienced users can get started in no time.
