Boss IR-2 Amp & IR Cabinet

The IR-2 packs the inspiring sounds of classic tube amps and mic'd speaker cabinets into a standard floor pedal. Experience studio-quality sounds anywhere - on quiet stages, on the road, during live recordings and in the rehearsal room. Thanks to BOSS' decades of experience, each variant delivers the same richness of nuance and dynamic response as a real amplifier on a real speaker cabinet. In addition, the combination of modern DSP, 32-bit floating point processing and 96 kHz sampling rate ensures first-class audio quality.

With a total of eleven amp types, the IR-2 covers every amp sound - from famous tube combos to vintage or modern stacks. Several famous BOSS amps are also available, including a high-gain Brown type from the Katana series. All amplifiers are combined with high-quality Celestion Digital IRs, which can be used to create first-class sounds straight away. If you want to use your own speaker impulse responses, you can load them into the pedal via USB-C and specific software.

Thanks to the IR-2's intuitive user interface, you can set up your sound in no time at all. Simply select an amplifier type and edit the sound using the familiar controls just like on an amplifier. You can use the Ambience control to add a little more spaciousness and depth if required. As with a conventional amplifier, you can connect your other pedals to the input of the IR-2. You can also use the send/return loop to integrate modulation, delay and reverb effects into the signal chain after the amplifier. The TRS return input supports stereo operation to play stereo effects via the audio outputs of the IR-2.
