At the heart of the NiftyKEYZ are its four CV and Gate outputs, which can be flexibly used for monophonic or polyphonic applications. Each of these outputs can be controlled separately or together via the keyboard or MIDI. This allows for individual zones on the keyboard or the distribution of multiple voices across the entire playing system—ideal for complex setups and creative playing techniques.

The powerful MIDI implementation also allows it to be used as a versatile MIDI controller. Via MIDI Thru (which also serves as MIDI Out), the device can be integrated into existing setups or used to control external MIDI hardware.
