Epiphone J-45 EC Studio Natural Westerngitarre Product Details

Epiphone J-45 EC Studio Natural - a classic in a modern guise

The Epiphone J-45 EC Studio Natural is an all-round successful acoustic guitar for the stage, studio and living room. With its iconic J-45 Round Shoulder design, solid spruce top and cutaway for improved access to the upper frets, it combines classic sound aesthetics with modern comfort. Thanks to the integrated Fishman Sonicore pickup and the powerful Presys II preamp, it is immediately ready for the stage and recording. This guitar not only offers excellent value for money, but also a balanced, powerful sound that only gets better with age.

Epiphone - tradition and innovation for over a century

As a subsidiary brand of Gibson, Epiphone stands for high-quality instruments with an iconic design that remain affordable for a wide audience. The J-45 EC Studio is based on the famous J-45 model - also known as "The Workhorse" - which has been one of the most popular acoustic guitars since the 1940s. With modern electronics, high-quality materials and well thought-out construction, Epiphone makes this legendary model accessible to anyone looking for sound, comfort and style in equal measure.

Technical details of the Epiphone J-45 EC Studio Natural

The guitar has a round shoulder dreadnought body, which is known for its warm response and rich mid-range. The solid Sitka spruce top delivers clarity, dynamics and an open tone that continues to improve over time as you play it in. The back and sides are made of layered mahogany, which gives the sound additional warmth and fullness.

The neck is also made of mahogany and has a comfortable rounded "C" profile. The glued tapered dovetail joint ensures optimum vibration transmission between the neck and body. The pau ferro fingerboard offers a pleasant playing surface and is fitted with pearloid dot inlays. With a scale length of 628.7 mm (24.75") and 20 medium jumbo frets, the guitar is equally suitable for chord playing and solos. The fingerboard radius of 304.8 mm enables comfortable fingering and clean bendings.

The Pau Ferro bridge in reverse belly style and the compensated bone bridge inlay ensure excellent intonation and precise transmission of the string vibrations. The Ivory U-Rite nut with a width of 43 mm offers an ideal balance between chord and single-string playing. The Epiphone Premium Die Cast tuners with classic kidney bean metal buttons ensure stable tuning.

Stage-ready electronics from Fishman

The Fishman Sonicore pickup under the saddle is at the heart of the electrical equipment, which together with the Fishman Presys II preamp delivers a natural, nuanced tone - both via PA systems and acoustic amplifiers. The preamp system offers controls for volume, bass and treble, a phase switch for feedback reduction and an integrated tuner with LED display - perfect for live use and quick adjustments on stage.

Why the Epiphone J-45 EC Studio Natural inspires

The J-45 EC Studio Natural is a great all-rounder for ambitious beginners and experienced guitarists alike. With its solid spruce top, comfortable construction, cutaway for extended playing range and professional Fishman electronics, it delivers everything you could wish for from an acoustic guitar - a powerful sound, a classic look and ready to play straight away. Whether singer-songwriter, acoustic enthusiast or stage professional: this guitar fulfills many wishes at a convincing price.
