The Focal Sub 12 is a high-end subwoofer specially developed for professional studios that place the highest value on precision, power reserves and flexible integration. With a newly developed 13-inch woofer, powerful amplifier performance and a wide range of adjustment options, the Sub 12 is the perfect addition for demanding monitoring setups.

Powerful and precise sub-bass

At the heart of the Focal Sub 12 is a 13" long excursion woofer with a composite W-diaphragm, which ensures exceptional sound neutrality and minimal distortion. The integrated BASH amplifier delivers 600 watts RMS and up to 1000 watts peak power, allowing the subwoofer to effortlessly reproduce low frequencies with enormous dynamics, even in large studios.

Optimized enclosure design with bass reflex

The solidly constructed housing is based on the design of the Focal Trio11, but has been specially developed for the Sub 12. The front-facing bass reflex channel is equipped with internal and external bulges to minimize flow noise and cabinet resonances. Large side handles make it easier for two people to transport the 58 kg enclosure.

Flexible connection options & bass management

The Focal Sub 12 offers comprehensive connection and control options:

• Balanced XLR inputs and outputs (L/R + LFE)
• High-pass and low-pass filter with 24 dB/octave
• Adjustablephase, polarity and sensitivity
• Auto standby function (can be switched off)
• Bypass control input for foot switch (even with several Sub12s in series)
