Description

Hage - Die 100 wichtigsten Etüden für Klavier (+2 CDs) Product Details

This unique collection contains the 100 most important etudes, which are indispensable for the training of every pianist. The book was created in close collaboration with piano teachers and is the result of meticulous sifting through hundreds of etudes. Only the most didactically valuable ones were selected. The collection of etudes is unique in quality and abundance and saves one the expensive purchase of a multitude of individual editions. In compiling the pieces, care has been taken to ensure that they are both technically valuable to play and musically appealing. In this way, technical and musical requirements can be practiced effectively, while at the same time musicality is encouraged.

The selection ranges from Baroque to Romantic to modern etudes by contemporary composers. Included are wonderful original compositions by Beyer, Burgmüller, Czerny, Duvernoy, Gurlitt, Heller, Lemoine, Löschhorn, Schumann and many others. The book is divided into nine chapters that deal specifically with all the important aspects of piano playing: Fluency, parallel movements, melody leading, ornamentation, chords and triads, marksmanship, changing and jumping hands, and exercises for the left hand.

The degree of difficulty ranges from easy to moderately difficult. All 100 etudes were recorded live on the piano by Gerhard Kölbl and can be found as audio examples on the two enclosed CDs. The book is not only suitable for piano lessons and self-study, but also a real treasure chest of wonderful playing pieces.
