The Ibanez RGD721FA-WUF is a modern 7-string electric guitar dedicated entirely to low-tuned metal playing. It was specially developed for musicians who rely on down-tuning and do not want to compromise on playing feel, sound clarity or aesthetics. With its extended scale length of 26.5 inches, it not only delivers better low-end handling, but also remains comfortable and fast to play - perfect for precise riffs, fast solos and intense stage performance.

At the center is the proven Wizard II-7 neck made of five layers of panga panga and walnut - flat, fast and extremely stable. The Macassar ebony fingerboard contributes to a brilliant response and excellent sustain, while its hardness and density make it ideal for technical playing styles. The jumbo frets further enhance this playability and offer control and expression in every position. Thanks to the extra deep cutaways, high registers are also easily accessible, even for complex passages and solos.

Optimized for low tunings

The body construction combines an eye-catching flamed maple top with a core of layered ash and okoume. This choice of material ensures an assertive sound with a tight bass response, brilliant highs and a powerful mid-range. At the same time, it gives the guitar a modern, elegant look with the characteristic Stained Wine Red Burst Flat finish.

The sound is provided by DiMarzio® Fusion Edge humbuckers, which were developed in cooperation with Ibanez. They deliver a modern sound signature: tight, clear and balanced - perfectly tuned for high-gain sounds and precise articulation even at low tunings. The coil-tap switch further expands the tonal spectrum and enables quick changes between fat humbucker and more defined single-coil sounds.

Hardware for stage and studio

The Gibraltar Standard III bridge not only offers high tuning stability, but also direct vibration transmission and increased sustain thanks to its solid construction. The Gotoh® MG-T locking tuners guarantee quick and easy string changes and reliable tuning - a must for live musicians. The Luminlay Side Dots, which glow in the dark and thus facilitate quick position changes, ensure safe orientation on dark stages.
