The Spectra Bass JS3V from the JS Series is a brand new 5-string leviathan instrument where versatile style meets tremendous sound.

The brand new offset body was designed with the artist in mind. The poplar body with large upper horn distributes weight evenly throughout the instrument and provides perfect balance by reducing neck dip for hours of comfortable playing. The bolt-on maple neck with scarf-joint construction provides rock-solid reliability, while the fast neck contour and 12"-16" compound-radius (with 24 frets) laurel fingerboard provide lightning-fast playability.

The Spectra Bass JS3V delivers a sound that is as unique as the bassist who plays it. Whether funk, hard rock or gospel, the two passive Jackson medium-output humbucking pickups produce a monstrous low-end growl, while the HiMass™ bridge provides more stability, better sustain and a fatter tone. Tone can be further refined and tweaked with a two-way toggle switch for pickup coil splitting, a 3-band EQ (active only), a blend control, and a volume control (with push/pull selector to bypass or activate the active circuit for the 3-band EQ). With the push/pull selector switch, you never have to worry about running out of battery and losing sound. A quick pull of the volume knob bypasses the active circuit, so you can get the bass sounding again without the battery.
