MAILA SUB forms the basis of every MAILA system. The 2.5 kW 2x15'' high-performance subwoofer operates in bandpass design and delivers a massive and powerful bass foundation in any application with its newly developed SysCore DSP.
The acoustic concept of the MAILA SUB is based on a planar wave bandpass design with quarter wave horn and symmetrical driver design. Due to the opposing arrangement of the two 15'' loudspeakers, the MAILA SUB allows for exceptional impulse compensation, resulting in powerful and precise low-frequency pressure. The four large-area bass reflex ports, together with the cabinet design, ensure optimized airflow and reduced flow losses, resulting not only in a lower noise level, but above all in higher efficiency at low frequencies. The subwoofer's cabinet is made of 18 mm thick birch plywood. The MAILA SUB defies the hard road everyday life with a durable polyurea paint. A total of six carrying handles ensure optimum grip during assembly and disassembly. For comfortable transport on longer trips, the optional MAILA SUB CB rolling board is the optimal choice.
With LogoLink®, LD Systems has given MAILA another innovation. Via the free MAILA App (iPadOS), each MAILA system can be customized quickly, easily and in detail, and wirelessly supplied with software updates. Once connected, the app automatically recognizes the existing MAILA components and enables quick and easy setup of the system - including calculation of the SAT angles - in advance of an event. The highlight: the required wireless antennas are invisibly integrated into the LD logo of the MAILA SUB.
