UKIYO-E CHORUS (NCH-4) is a mini chorus pedal with 3 different chorus models, including ST Chorus, SCH-1 and CE-1. Tapping the tap switch toggles the models. Old school analog chorus has always been warm, but lacked dynamic addition. This is where the engineers at NUX come in, offering a perfect combination of both worlds: analog and digital, thanks to modern DSP. To achieve all the goals of the UKIYO-E Chorus, it was necessary to develop an algorithm that mimics the principles of BBD chips - the key component of analog chorus effects. The UKIYO-E's active low end delivers the traditional analog chorus sound that discerning ears expect from a true analog chorus pedal. The dynamic sound and noise reduction capability elevate UKIYO-E into a completely different category than cheap analog pedals. High quality BBD chips in large quantities have become incredibly rare, making this method impractical for making an affordable analog chorus device. Using DSP technology, NUX is able to offer a mini pedal with a contrasting selection of chorus sounds.
