The VAD306 is a unique V-Drums Acoustic Design Kit that retains the series' distinctive acoustic aesthetics despite its compact design. With the same dimensions as the mid-range V-Drums set, the VAD306 is perfect for use in the home or on crowded stages. The flat shells save space and weight without losing the familiar playing feel that every drummer knows and appreciates. The setup is completed by the double-braced stands with tom mounts and cymbal arms, which additionally contribute to the overall acoustic impression. With its organic, expressive sound, the TD-17 sound module offers acoustic drum sounds and a natural playability that leaves nothing to be desired at home or at gigs.

The TD-17 sound module is the heart of the VAD306 and is based on the sounds of the renowned TD-50 sound engine. You can choose between vintage and modern drums, cymbals and percussions, sampled in highest resolution and with all touch details. Then, the unique Roland Prismatic Sound Modeling technology is applied to ensure a multi-layered, natural sound variety as well as seamless dynamic transitions between the individual beats. The result: an electronic drum kit that not only sounds acoustic, but behaves like it.

The TD-17 module comes with a variety of ready-to-play kits, including ten new acoustic presets created specifically for the VAD306. Even the preset kits sound fantastic. Intuitive editing options let you dive deep into sound editing to create your perfect drum setup. Think of the module as a vast storehouse of drums and cymbals from decades gone by that you can mix and match as you please. You can change drumhead types, adjust pitch, mute individual instruments and even change the virtual room you're playing in. You'll be even more flexible if you import your own samples and combine them with the integrated instruments. You'll get a custom kit that no other drummer has.

Normally, acoustic drums are larger than electronic drum pads. The size of a drum not only makes a difference visually, but also shapes the entire playing and hitting experience. That's why the VAD306 features 12'' snare and floor tom, two 10'' rack toms and an 18'' kick drum for a natural, full-fledged playing experience. The shells are made of wood and further enhance the authentic acoustic feeling when playing with sticks and mallets.

The legendary, multilayer and tension-adjustable Roland Mesh Heads make a decisive contribution to the authentic playing feel. In addition, the hit rebound can be adjusted to your personal playing style. With every impact of the stroke into the specially designed kick drum, you get the air in the drum moving. The resulting air pressure and resistance is remarkable and hardly distinguishable from an acoustic kick.

The VAD306's low-profile tom and kick drum shells save space and weight without affecting the kit's performance. Each drum has individual sensors to ensure a natural response and a high-quality playing feel.
