The Shure KSM8 Dualdyne vocal microphone is the first dynamic microphone to feature two diaphragms for neutral and highly accurate voice reproduction, accurate sound and maximum proximity effect control. The patented Dualdyne technology features only marginal proximity effects and off-axis sound coloration.
By using materials such as neodymium and magnesium within the microphone capsule, the magnetic field and thus the maximum output voltage is optimized. The highly resistant microphone basket made of hardened steel and water-repellent foam makes the microphone virtually waterproof and protects it from explosive sounds and wind influences.
