Are you looking for a compact, premium cajon with an elegant wood finish, warm bass response, and precise snare action? The U-Turn Cajon 49 Premium Black & White Ebony with side sound hole combines modern design, high-quality craftsmanship, and an expressive cajon sound in a versatile percussion instrument.

With dimensions of 485 x 298 x 292 mm, this cajon is suitable for a wide range of applications. Whether for acoustic sessions, singer-songwriter arrangements, street performances, music lessons, rehearsal rooms, or the stage—the U-Turn UT-CAJON-49-EB offers a compact design and a balanced tone for musicians of all skill levels.

Elegant Black & White Ebony Finish

The U-Turn Cajon 49 Premium Black & White Ebony with a side sound hole features a front panel with a Black & White Ebony wood finish. This elegant grain makes the instrument a visual highlight and gives each cajon its own unique character.

The sturdy wooden body produces a warm, powerful bass and a precise snare response. This makes the cajon equally suitable for quiet accompaniment and rhythmically expressive grooves. The finely tuned playing surface responds sensitively to different playing techniques and enables dynamic playing with clearly defined bass and snare sounds.

Side soundhole for direct sound perception

A distinctive feature of the U-Turn Cajon 49 Premium Black & White Ebony with a side soundhole is the soundhole integrated into the side. Compared to classic cajons with a rear soundhole, the sound is directed more directly toward the player.

This makes it easier to perceive and control bass and snare sounds while playing. At the same time, the sound projection remains powerful and balanced, so that listeners also benefit from a rich and nuanced sound.

Construction and Playing Feel

The drum body of the U-Turn Cajon 49 Premium Black & White Ebony with a side soundhole is made of solid poplar wood. The front panel is made of black & white ebony wood. The panel thicknesses are 2.8 mm for the front panel, 12 mm for the side panel, and 7 mm for the back panel.

The playing surface is described as “Soft Feel.” This gives the cajon a comfortable playing feel and makes it suitable for extended practice sessions, acoustic sessions, and live performances. The BAS01 system with snare strings is used to produce the snare sound.
