Walrus Audio Fathom Product Details
The Walrus Audio FATHOM is an extensive digital reverb effect pedal with a wide range of functions and its own sustain switch. Thanks to four different reverb programs, you can cover a wide range of reverb sounds that will delight traditional and experimental guitarists alike. The following four algorithms are available for selection: Hall, Plate, Low-Fi and Sonor.
Hall: large, open reverberation chamber with "HF roll-off" at the end of the reverb tail and adjustable pre-delay (room size).
Plate: Powerful, full reverb with very soft finish of the reverb tail and adjustable pre-delay (room size).
Low-Fi: Low-Fidelity Reverb à la "AM Radio" with adjustable frequency limitation of the reverb tail.
Sonor: Reminiscent of Shimmer Reverb. -1 and +1 octave in reverb tail with adjustable ratio.
The sustain switch can be used to "hold" the reverb tail (decay maximum) (like the sustain pedal on a piano). The FATHOM has a true bypass circuit design and is "Made In USA" (Oklahoma).
Features:
- Digital reverb pedal with sustain switch
- Four selectable programs: H (Hall), P (Plate), L (Lo-Fi) & S (Sonor): Hall: Large, open reverberation chamber with HF roll-off to the end of the reverb tail. "X" controls PreDelay, Plate: Powerful, full reverb with a soft finish of the reverb tail. "X" controls PreDelay, Lo-Fi: Low-Fidelity Reverb with adjustable frequency width ("X") for reverb signal ("AM Radio" to "warm"), Sonor: Reverb with high and low octave in reverb tail (comparable to "Shimmer"). Ratio High/Low Octave adjustable via "X
- Sustain switch "holds" reverberation tail upright (decay maximum) during operation (comparable to piano sustain pedal)
- Controls: Decay, Dampen, Mix, X, Mod, Program
- "Decay" determines the length of the reverb tail
- "Dampen" adjusts high pass filter for reverb tail (counterclockwise to open filter)
- "Mix" determines balance between dry signal and reverb
- "X" parameter varies depending on program: pre-delay/room size ("H" and "P" program), filter width for reverb signal ("L" program), ratio between high and low octave ("S" program)
- "Mod" switch controls modulation intensity for reverb tail (Lo, Med, Hi)
- Momentary or continuous mode for bypass switch
- Trials mode adjustable: Reverberation tail ends naturally or directly after deactivation of the effect
- Power supply: 9V DC, 100mA
- No battery operation
- True Bypass
