Description

Dynacord CMS 1600-3 Product Details

The XLR microphone input is equipped with a very high-quality and extremely low-noise discrete preamplifier.

+48V phantom power for condenser microphones can be switched in groups of 6.Line input and channel insert are designed as jack sockets. The gain can be adjusted with the gain control in the range of 0 - 60 dB.The switchable Lo-Cut filter (80Hz, 18dB/oct) serves to suppress low-frequency noise. A very typical DYNACORD feature is the asymmetrical voicing filter, which can be used to emphasize the voice powerfully from the mix if required. The user-optimized 3-band tone control with semi-parametric mids provides even the inexperienced user with the desired correction result quickly and intuitively. With its extended bus structure, the CMS3 mixers offer very flexible configuration options. A total of 6 AUX buses are available:

2 (FX) are assigned to the two effect units.

2 (AUX) can be configured as either a monitor path or an effects path by switching in the sum.

2 (MON) are configured as monitor paths and both have a tunable anti-feedback filter in the sum.

All input channels can be individually muted and/or auditioned. The MUTE and PFL switches are used for this purpose, each with an associated LED indicator. For level control, the LEDs "Signal Present" and "Peak" are used for each channel. The channel fader is dust-protected and offers a very high crosstalk attenuation as well as a practice-optimized control characteristic. All potentiometers and faders are high-quality ALPS components.

Stereo MIC/LINE input channels:

The stereo inputs are largely equipped in the same way, but optimized for their use with stereo signals.2 of the 4 stereo inputs are additionally equipped with RCA sockets connected in parallel for connecting CD or MP3 players. The other two stereo inputs additionally receive the 4 channels of the digital audio interfaces USB1-2 and USB3-4. Separate gain controls for stereo line and mic input allow parallel use of stereo and mic input if required. The equalization is three-band, a balance control replaces the PAN control of the mono channel strips.

MASTER:

The CMS3 mixers are also very richly equipped in the master section. The 11-band stereo equalizer can be routed either to the master channels or to one or both monitor paths. The FX1 + 2 returns as well as the AUX1 + 2 and MON1 + 2 sends are on faders as well as the master L/R signal, which allows a comfortable and clear operation. The Master B signal can be tapped pre or post MASTER A fader and mono summed if required. The master signal is also available at the adjustable REC Send Cinch output.

The level meter on the CMS3 consists of two LED chains with 12 LEDs per chain. The display range is 40 dB and shows the level in dBu at the master outputs. When the PFL switch is pressed, the left LED chain shows the internal level of the master bus in dBu.The standby switch mutes all channels, e.g. during breaks, only the 2TRACK to Master input remains active for playing break music.A 4-pin XLR socket allows the connection of a standard 12V/5W gooseneck lamp.

DIGITAL USB 2.0 AUDIO INTERFACE:

The USB 2.0 interface serves as the CMS3's digital audio interface to a PC or Mac.Four channels can be transmitted simultaneously in each direction. This interface can be used for recording audio signals (e.g. playback, pause music) as well as for live and studio recording applications. The configuration is done in a separate menu item via the display. For using the CMS3 with a PC/Mac, a free Cubase LE license as well as corresponding USB drivers are included on the supplied DVD.

PC MIDI interface:

The CMS3 also provides a full-fledged PC MIDI interface. The MIDI input can also be used to switch the two internal effect sections from a master keyboard or MIDI footswitch.Professional effects, OLED display and processing menus The CMS3 has two independently operating integrated stereo multi-effects sections, each with 100 live-optimized effect programs that can be edited in the essential parameters. Linear 24-bit AD/DA converters and 48-bit double-precision processing guarantee the highest studio quality at the cutting edge of technology. Each of the 100 program slots provides high-quality reverbs, reverb and plates that deliver professional results both live on stage and in the studio and home recording.

Further presets provide echo/reverb, chorus/echo, mix programs, different delays, flanger, chorus and doubling, as well as special reverb and delay programs. When a delay effect is active, the delay time can be adjusted to the beat of the music by pressing the TAP button.

Edited effect programs can be stored in 20 user slots each, named and then recalled like presets. The large, high-contrast OLED display is always easy to read, even from wide viewing angles and in very bright surroundings. The effects section and the processing menus are operated intuitively via soft keys and with rotary encoders.

Processing menus:

For basic settings, configuration, effect operation and special functions, a variety of editing options are available in clearly arranged menus.Innovative solution for protection and transport Very robust plastic covers with integrated carrying handle are optionally available for the CMS 1000 and 1600 models, a very innovative solution for optimum protection and transport comfort. For the large model CMS 2200 a flight case solution is recommended due to its dimensions. Optionally available is a dust cover: DC-PM2200-COVER.
