Marr became known as the influential anti-hero guitarist and all-round genius of the Manchester quartet The Smiths. With them, he virtually reinvented the UK pop scene in the '80s. After that, he brought his skills as a master of melodies and sound texture to "The", "Electronic", the "Pretenders" and "Johnny Marr and the Healers", among others. His genius also shines through in his work with "Modest Mouse", "Cribs" and countless guest appearances.

The Johnny Marr Signature Jaguar is a wonderfully individual version of the model, as unique as the sounds Marr gets out of it. Its special features include: Custom-Wound Bare Knuckle® Johnny Marr single-coils on the neck and bridge, a custom-molded maple neck modeled after Marr's 1965 Jaguar with vintage-style truss rod, and lacquer finish and signed headstock. Electronics include a 4-way pickup blade switch with four positions on the chrome plate on the lower horn, also two slide switches on the upper horn. The Jaguar bridge with Mustang® tailpiece includes nylon bridge pins for stability, a chrome cover, and a vintage-style floating tremolo. The extended tremolo lever also has a nylon insert to prevent unwanted swinging movement.
