The models from the Players Edition, handmade in Japan, were produced on the basis of customer requests collected over many years and integrated into the Gretsch 2021 line-up as part of the Professional Collection integrated. And so the G6228TG is also characterized by its beautifully translucent, dark red-brown Walnut Stain Gloss finish with professional features such as the original Bigsby B-7 vibrato system, perfectly dressed 22 medium jumbo frets, tuning-stable Gotoh 3L/3R locking tuners and the popular, highly acclaimed Gretsch BroadTron BT65 humbuckers. The instrument is very comfortable to play thanks to the hand-selected, chambered mahogany body with a maple top. The instrument is supplied in an original Gretsch hardshell case.
