Höfner HA-CS28 Akustikgitarre

After more than two years of research and prototyping, the new HA-CS series of Höfner acoustic guitars were born, all handmade in Germany. The goal was to develop a distinctive new acoustic guitar that offers high volume with an exceptional sound. This was achieved through the unique design of the top and back bracing combined with selected tonewoods.

The CS28's smaller body shape and neck design with slotted headstock reference both the look and sound of a classic 1930s acoustic guitar featured on many famous early recordings. The body and top clearly project the sound, making this guitar one of the loudest acoustic instruments on the market. The dark, woody bass tones run under the glossy highs, which are clearly audible throughout the tonal range. With a nut width of 45mm, the guitar is ideal for fingerpicking and strumming; the neck width and shape is designed to melt into any player's hand.

The perfect synthesis of simplicity and luxury is achieved through the excellent combination of a carefully selected cedar top with a body made of stunning bay wood. The wood for the fingerboard is a selection of fine and very old ebony. The neck, back and sides are finished with a tough satin lacquer, while the top is sealed with a gauzy finish of natural resins. The active pickup system is built into the sides without any opening to preserve the subtle and natural aesthetics and tone of the instrument.

Thanks to Mi-Si®, there is no environmental impact from batteries or accumulators, and the built-in piezo ensures detailed and authentic sound reproduction.
