With the AZ42P1 Ibanez delivers a stylish 6-string electric guitar with outstanding exemplarity and versatile sound. Selected elements such as an American basswood body, "Gotoh MG-T" tuners, bolt-on neck-body construction and a "Gotoh T1502" bridge assure special longevity of the instrument, while the easy-access, toasted "AZ Oval C" maple neck with Satin Polyurethane finish and Rosewood fingerboard guarantee a unique playing feel. The Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickups feature moderate output through Alnico-5 magnets to maintain the clarity of the fundamental tone in a distortion sound and deliver a clear pick attack. From the treble to the bass, the overall tonal balance is evenly matched and works well with a variety of effects pedals. The dyna-MIX 10 also offers ten sound variations and and allows you to easily switch between humbucker and single coil modes with the mini switch. The power tap mode provides a realistic single-coil sound, even though the system is only equipped with two humbucker pickups.
