The brand new offset body was designed with the artist in mind. The poplar body with a large upper horn distributes weight evenly throughout the instrument and provides perfect balance by reducing neck dip for hours of comfortable playing. A bolt-on maple neck with scarf joint design provides rock-solid reliability, while the Speed Neck Contour, 12"-16" compound radius bay fingerboard and 24 frets ensure lightning-fast playability.

The Spectra Bass JS3 delivers a sound as unique as the bassist who plays it. Whether funk, hard rock, or gospel, the two passive Jackson medium-output humbucking pickups provide a monstrous low-end growl, while the HiMass™ bridge adds stability, more sustain, and a fatter tone. Tone can be further refined and tweaked with a two-way toggle switch for pickup coil splitting, a 3-band EQ (active only), a blend control, and a volume control (with push/pull selector to bypass or activate the active circuit for the 3-band EQ). With the push/pull selector switch, you never have to worry about running out of battery and losing sound. A quick pull of the volume control bypasses the active circuit and makes it easy to restore the sound of the bass without battery power.
