JBL PRX 815 XLFW Product Details
The JBL PRX 815 XLFW is a bass speaker with an 18" woofer. It is equipped with Wi-Fi and can therefore also be controlled remotely. The integrated power amplifier has an output of 1500 watts and is equipped with a DSP. The controller functions of the DSP can be configured via the PRX Connect App.
Other features include a 180° phase switch and stereo outputs with switchable 120 Hz 24 dB high pass filters. This allows top speakers like JBL PRX825W and PRX835W or satellite speakers like PRX812W and PRX815W to be connected directly to the PRX818XLFW subwoofer. The flexible internal mono summing allows stereo systems to be configured with two subs as well as with only one sub.
The relatively low weight (36.8 kg) is due to the specially designed, very high power handling DCD (Dual Coil Drive) woofer and the very efficient digital Class-D power amp circuitry. Despite its low weight, the JBL PRX818XLFW has a high continuous output of 1,500 watts.
The rectangular cabinet is made of sturdy multiplex wood and coated with JBL's durable DuraFlex paint. Additionally, an M20 flange for satellite speakers is recessed on the top side. The front grille is made of powder-coated steel and backed with acoustically transparent fabric.
