The RL921K takes up the classic, timeless design of the legendary RL901K. The RL921K not only follows in the footsteps of its big brother visually, but also acoustically. It can be used wherever the RL901K cannot be used due to its size or a shortened listening distance. The RL921K is aimed at professional users and music lovers alike.

The kidney-shaped radiation pattern minimizes reflections from the walls behind the loudspeaker in the range from 30 to 250 Hz. Furthermore, it is possible to adapt the transmission path to the acoustic conditions of the playback room and the installation conditions by means of an analogue local adaptation filter.

The loudspeaker is optimized for medium listening distances and base widths from 2 to 3 m due to its dispersion characteristics. In bass, a very linear 300mm long-throw bass system operates in a bass kidney cabinet, which offers excellent impulse reproduction. The 100 mm midrange system, together with the 25 mm dome tweeter, is arranged coaxially on a baffle in front of the woofer driver, thus allowing precise control of the directivity. The result is a realistic and stable three-dimensionality around the listening position, minimal discoloration and a high homogeneity of the sound. Due to the large diaphragm area, the RL921K is extremely level stable with minimum distortion. This makes the RL921K a precision tool in the studio that can be used even after hours of work without fatigue.

The three-channel MOSFET power amplifier with electronic crossover is integrated into the rear of the housing and can be swivelled out for service purposes. When the overload limit is reached, an intermittent LED lights up. If the maximum level is exceeded, the output level is reduced by 20 dB to protect the components from overload.

Various special tripods and brackets are available as accessories; corresponding fastening elements are integrated into the loudspeaker cabinet.
