The NDH 20 bk is a closed headphone that combines high sound isolation with the carefully balanced sound image and outstanding resolution for which the Neumann name is synonymous. The NDH 20 bk is thus ideal for monitoring and mixing, even in noisy environments. Ear-enclosing memory foam pads ensure a high level of long-term wearing comfort.

While many other closed-back headphones exhibit strong resonances in the midrange frequencies, making reliable mixing decisions difficult, the NDH 20 offers an amazingly detailed and balanced soundstage, similar to that of the popular Neumann studio monitors. Its superior, fatigue-free sound and soft memory foam ear cushions make even extended listening sessions a pleasure.

The NDH 20's newly developed 38 mm drivers are equipped with extra-strong neodymium magnets and ensure high sensitivity with the lowest distortion to guarantee the highest sound purity and freedom from coloration. The mechanical construction also meets the highest standards: The adjustable headband is made of flexible steel, while the ear cup covers are crafted from lightweight aluminum. For transport, the headphones can be folded and stored in an included cloth pouch. The Black Edition of the NDH 20 comes with an internally balanced, textile-wound cable that improves channel separation.

Applications

The NDH 20 is suitable for all applications requiring high sound isolation, such as monitoring for musicians and sound engineers in the recording room or in event applications. It is also an excellent choice for analytical listening without being disturbed by ambient noise, or conversely, disturbing the environment by sound emissions from the headphones. Thanks to its wide frequency range of 5 Hz to 30 kHz, the NDH 20 is extremely useful for evaluating low bass and extreme treble frequencies.

Unlike many other closed-back headphones, the Neumann NDH 20 is also suitable for mixing applications. Its exceptionally flat frequency response and natural stereo image provide the necessary confidence when mixing, and ensure compatibility with all playback systems.
